The table has changed in the first episode with Cesar which is very involved in the gang, unlike Oscar which is a pregnant father, Jamal finally gets attention from girls in school, and more. Not only Jamian gets the attention he wants, but his friendship with Ruby is also on the rocks and he made him much worse by running for the senior class president – Ruby’s dream. It is more stinging because when you watch the show,
it is very clear that Jamal and Ruby are the closest. Even Jamal’s mother has told him about his agenda for the presidency, “This is a dream of Ruby” but Jamal doesn’t seem to care when he told him, “We are not friends and we will never be friends again.” Let’s hope it does not produce results because their friendship is integral to the show.
The first episode mainly rotates around the trio and their separate path. We came to know that a body was found in La Forest, it turned out that Cuchilos and Oscar body tried to warn Cesar several times but he just didn’t care about it and failed to recognize the gravity of the situation. In this case, Cesar became annoying because his brother only looked at him, especially because he had been in a gang life longer than him.
